Happy New Year.
My kids are still home—school doesn’t start up again until January 8th (!)—but Patrick went back to work, so I’ve spent this first week of 2024 with episodes of Sam and Cat playing in the background, taking kids to various doctor’s and dentist’s check-ups, going out for milkshakes/sushi/IHOP, visiting the park, making Annie’s Mac n Cheese, and trying to come up with ways to pass the time in fun and not bank-breaking ways. “Let’s go move our bodies!” I say, and everyone groans.
Since it’s the new year, and since I can’t help but adhere to the Perpetual Myth of Self-Improvement, here are some of my new year’s goals/habits/thoughts. Sorry, it turned into a doozy…
