Lately, I’ve been really appreciating playdates. Not the ones of yore that necessitated a lot of advanced preparation, a multitude of packed snacks, another mother and I sitting on the floor or on a park bench as our kids parallel played. No. This is the new iteration. Can we find another word for it? Playdate? Nope. So treacly.
