Solo trips for sure! I’m a former cruise queen. In total I’ve sailed on 42 cruises. I’m thinking 9 or 10 of those were solo...I treasure those times. My husband has gone on solo trips quite a few times...fun for him, fun for me. In March 2024 we’ll mark our 50th wedding anniversary. Oh, I remain glad we had no big wedding. We married in Atlanta, flew our parents in from PA for the “ceremony.” A month later we had a small party in our hometown.

My family has been on some, of course. But early on I realized solo travel for a woman on a ship is safe. I read books, got massages, met folks and conversed when I wanted, went on some fun (tame, I’m not adventurous in the least) off ship tours and such. So many times I sat and enjoyed a beverage at, say, the piano bar. I loved walking away from couples I passed who would be bickering...I’d just go into my stateroom and its quiet.

Oh yes I totally agree. That's a good one! Thanks. (And sort of creepy seeing your name pop up since I just typed "Dear Stephanie" into a document--letter coming at ya in the next few days!)
